Author Brad Gooch’s “Rumi’s Secret: The Life of the Sufi Poet of Love”
Brad Gooch’s new book, “Rumi Secrets: The Life of the Sufi Poet of Love,” is excellent and my interview with Brad is a great introduction to a man few know.
Ecstatic love poems of Rumi, a Persian poet and Sufi mystic born over eight centuries ago, are beloved by millions of readers in America as well as around the world. He has been compared to Shakespeare for his outpouring of creativity and to Saint Francis of Assisi for his spiritual wisdom. Yet his life has long remained the stuff of legend rather than intimate knowledge.
Brad Gooch shares his favorites from Rumi, and here’s mine…a mantra of sorts, given tough times and overcoming challenges, knowing that difficult time can help us grow:
“Rumi says: Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing There is a field. I’ll meet you there.”
